SIPL Skin Rejuvenation Facial

Patient Journey

Before any treatment, you will meet with your Doctor or Nurse Practioner for a consultation to discuss whether this is the right procedure for you. Your Doctor/Nurse will take a medical history and will ask specific questions. It is important to notify your Doctor if you are pregnant, if you are trying to become pregnant, if you are breastfeeding and also if you are taking any medications. Your Doctor will also discuss with you your motivations and expectations. It will be explained what anti-wrinkle injections can and can't do for you and what type of results you can expect.

Your photograph may be taken from different angles. These photographs are valuable for before and after assessments and long-term reviews.

The treatment

First the treatment area will be cleansed. An intense pulse of light is applied in a series of gentle pulses over the treatment area. Without damaging the skin, the light penetrates through the skin and is absorbed by tiny capillaries or blood vessels visible through the skin, or is absorbed by any pigmentation, sunspot or freckle or hair follicle present. The intense pulse of light is transformed into heat energy, which causes damage to the blood vessel or pigmented area and through a natural process, the body clears the debris away. The treatment may vary from 10 to 30 minutes depending on the size of the area to be treated. Most treatments are painless, but specific treatments may feel almost like a rubber band snap to the skin. Topical or skin anaesthetic may be applied if required. The cooling head on the Angelite makes treatments with this technology almost completely painless.
